Genesis 13-15
Genesis 13:10
So Lot raised his eyes and saw the whole District of the Jordan, that all of it was a well-watered region before Jehovah brought Sod´om and Go·mor´rah to ruin
Jehovah seems determined to bring them places to ruin.
Genesis 13:13
And the men of Sod´om were bad and were gross sinners against Jehovah
Yes but what exactly made them such gross sinners?
Genesis 13:14-17
14 And Jehovah said to A´bram after Lot had separated from him: “Raise your eyes, please, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, 15 because all the land at which you are looking, to you and to your seed I am going to give it until time indefinite. 16 And I will constitute your seed like the dust particles of the earth, so that, if a man could be able to count the dust particles of the earth, then your seed could be numbered. 17 Get up, go about in the land through its length and through its breadth, because to you I am going to give it
That’s nice that Jehovah wants to give Abram’s descendants some land as by the sounds of it there is going to be a lot of them!.
Genesis 14:20
At that A´bram gave him a tenth of everything
What I don’t get is wherever Abram gave the priest 10th of everything or god?. Maybe this is where the whole give 10% of your earnings to the church bit comes from?
Genesis 15:4-5
4 But, look! the word of Jehovah to him was in these words: “This man will not succeed you as heir, but one who will come out of your own inward parts will succeed you as heir.”
5 He now brought him outside and said: “Look up, please, to the heavens and count the stars, if you are possibly able to count them.” And he went on to say to him: “So your seed will become
One since when god was shy about a human southward areas I mean he created them after all. And this seems to be second time god has implied that Abram’s going to have lots of descendants
